Sunday mornings at Mays Chapel UMC are happy, active, and alive… There’s something for everyone because we know that it’s important to not only learn about God, but to experience God with each other. We welcome children of all ages and have programs to help them grow in faith. Older children may pick up activities and books from our Kids Corner bookcase to help calm the wiggles during the service.  Come and see for yourself what God is doing here at Mays Chapel.

Music
“O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!” Psalm 95:1  We are abundantly blessed with musical talent here at Mays Chapel UMC. We have a contemporary praise band, a small choir, and lots of musical talent for special presentations and services. You too will find a place to come and make a joyful noise whether in the congregation or in the spotlight! We welcome you to become a part of the praise band or choir or perhaps add your own bit of musical offering. Please contact the church office for more information.

Small Groups

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here are some ways you can learn, serve, and grow at MCUMC. Please contact the church office with any questions or if you’d like more information about any of these groups.

Bible Study
These groups do Bible, book, or topical studies in order to grow in faith and encourage one another in discipleship. Bible study groups are open to all so please come when you can.

Men’s Group
Our men’s group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The 2nd Thursday is an in-person or zoom Bible Study at 7pm.  The 4th Thursday is a gathering at a local restaurant at 6:30pm to laugh, pray, and encourage each other in faith.

Couples Group
The Homebuilders Couples group meets occasionally, rotating between each other’s homes. They share a meal, a Bible-based discussion, and lots of laughter together!

Women's Group
Our Women's Group Potluck is a place where every woman is welcomed, seen, and valued. Come join us, once a month, for a delicious afternoon of food & fellowship! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect and share a meal together. Whether you're new to the area, new to faith, or simply looking for a community of women who truly care, we'd love for you to join us.

Kids and Youth

 Mark 10:14 says “… Jesus said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” We welcome children of all ages at MCUMC and have many programs in place to help them grow in faith.
