Hopi Mission: Sharing Christ’s Love with a Peaceful People - "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” – Psalm 143:10

In the peaceful highlands of northeastern Arizona, the Hopi people—one of the oldest living cultures in the world—carry rich traditions and a deep spiritual heritage. Yet, fewer than 5% are Christian, and many in the community face daily challenges such as poverty, isolation, and health disparities. With a history marked by painful encounters with early missionary efforts, the Hopi need to see the Gospel through a new lens—one of humility, love, and service. Our congregation is proud to support the Hopi Mission, led by Korean Methodist missionary Rev. Dae Jun Park and his family, who serve faithfully in this sacred land. Through practical outreach like delivering firewood to elders, offering meals, celebrating baptisms, and nurturing faith through worship and discipleship classes, they bring the hope and healing of Christ. Their 2025 vision—“Ask, Seek, Knock” (Matthew 7:7)—invites us to join them in prayer, partnership, and support as they spread Jesus’ unconditional love across the Hopi Reservation. We invite you to learn more, pray with us, and consider how you might be part of this meaningful mission. Together, let’s be led by God’s Spirit onto level ground.

Thank you for  supporting Mays Chapel missions!
