I’m Pastor Dong Eun Lee, and I am thrilled to embark on this journey with you. At Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, we believe in the power of an open and unending circle—a symbol of our inclusive community and our ever-expanding capacity to love and serve.

 

As Gordon Light’s song reminds us: “Draw the circle, draw the circle wide. No one stands alone, we’ll stand side by side. Draw the circle wide, draw it wider still. Let this be our song: no one stands alone.”
This vision of a widening circle inspires us to intentionally create space for everyone who wishes to join us. We are a community that joyfully expands to include all of God’s children, expecting the Holy Spirit to work within us and through us.

 

Our faith journey at Mays Chapel is one of continual growth and transformation, guided by the Spirit. We trust in the promise of Philippians 1:6, that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Together, we study God’s Word, pray fervently, and serve those in need, always with hearts open to where the Spirit leads us next.

 

We celebrate the power of community and collective faith. We gather not just to worship, but to create a living, breathing fellowship where everyone is welcome. We support one another in times of joy and struggle, and we welcome questions and exploration as essential parts of our spiritual journey.
